Wyatt came home from school today with puppets he had made from the book by Jan Brett's "The Mitten." I told Wyatt I used to love reading that book to my students. After telling him I still had that book, he asked me to go get it. (Which was easy since I still have all my books from school organized by units on the bookshelf....sometimes it comes in handy to have a little OCD.) We then decided to perform a puppet show for daddy while mom read the book out loud. It is times like this when the mom in me and the teacher in me collide and all is right with the world.
