Grampy AND the carnival came to town this weekend!

You know you live in a small town when you are friends with everyone on the roller coaster!

Cassidy wasn't quite as impressed with the carnival.

The Easter Bunny came this morning!  This year, he hid the eggs in the backyard.  So Wyatt looked pretty classy while hunting eggs in his Spider-man tennis shoes and robe.  He found all the eggs, including the empty egg.  The Easter Bunny always leaves an empty egg to remind us of the empty tomb.  He is risen!!  He is risen indeed!!

I was excited to dress Cassidy for church this morning because she would be wearing one of my old dresses...  AND I was finally going to get to dress my child in an Easter bonnet!!  I will finally have someone to wear an Easter hat with me (at least until she is old enough to refuse!)

After church, Wyatt enjoyed drawing some pictures with the sidewalk paint the Easter Bunny left for him this morning.

My two boys decided to go hunt Rattlesnakes this morning.   Luckily, they didn't find any.

Wyatt spent some time this afternoon teaching Cassidy how to dye Easter eggs...Ninja Turtle style.

Wyatt finished up the afternoon riding a moped for the first time.

Wyatt had so much fun at his Pre-K Easter party today.  All the pre-k classes were bused to the courthouse lawn for an egg hunt and class picnics.  Matt and I hung out with Wyatt for a while, but after the hunt was over and Wyatt was finished eating, Matt and I walked across the street and enjoyed some yummy food from the Mercantile, all the while watching Wyatt and the other kids running around and playing at the courthouse.  After lunch, we met Wyatt back up at the school just in time to witness him and his class break the Cascarones they had made.  Fun day.  Have I mentioned how much I love this town??!

It's Bluebonnet time in Texas again!  You know what that means...time to stick kids and pets in any bluebonnets you can find and snap some photos.  So, being the good Texas mom I am, I got Cassey dressed, told Wyatt to put a white shirt on, grabbed my camera and the Bumbo, put the kiddos in the car and promised Wyatt he could go to the playground if he would give me some smiles without complaining.  We only had about 30 minutes before church, so I was going to need some major cooperation if I was going to get some good pics.  I still can't believe they both cooperated and I got these shots in about 10 minutes!  It's a Bluebonnet miracle!

This morning was the first time Cassidy sat up all by herself for an extended period of time with no help.  She and I sat on the floor of her room and just chatted about life for a while.  Well, I chatted.  She babbled.

After our long talk, we got dressed and went to Wyatt's school and surprised him for lunch.  It just so happened to be "mustache day" at Sonora Elementary.  So I snapped a picture of my little man with his worn off mustache and his sister in her sweet cat coat.

A lazy Sunday.  Cassidy skyped Granddad and Wyatt and Moo watched a little TV in bed.

Tonight was Wyatt's first t-ball game of the season.  Cassidy was sporting her cute onesie Granny B got for her before she was born.  Can't believe she's already big enough to be wearing it. Time, slow down!
