August 23rd

I took Wyatt and his Granny B. around Sonora to take some pictures.  I needed a good one for Wy's room.

August 22nd

This morning MooMoo had a grooming appointment.  It was 10 minutes until his appointment, and Wyatt still had not woken up.  So...I let MooMoo wake him up.  When I wake him up, he whines and pulls the covers over his head.  When MooMoo did it, he had a smile on his face before he even opened his eyes.  I WISH I WOULD HAVE TAKEN PICTURES OF THAT!!  Moo woke him up by jumping on the bed and attacking his face with kisses.  It was the happiest I have ever seen Wyatt when being woken up.  But, since we had to leave the house right away...we didn't have time to comb his hair or change out of his pajamas.  So...this is how we left the house.  Classic.

After dropping off MooMoo...we went to the donut shop for some breakfast.  You can tell he was still not completely awake.  Total morning face.  But I love it!!

Later on.. Wyatt was surprised by Granny B and Granddad.  They came to Sonora...but I chose not to tell Wyatt.  He was SO excited!  He asked Granddad if he wanted to come inside.  He said, "you can stay a while.  You can stay 6 hours if you want."

A couple of weeks ago, Wyatt dug a hold in the dirt by the porch.  I asked him what he was doing and he said, "Granddad's gonna bring me some flowers to plant."  Of course, I called dad and told him to bring some seeds with him next time he came down.  So...he brought some seeds and Wyatt planted them in the hole he had dug several weeks ago.

Spiderman made an appearance at the grocery store this morning.  He even rode on my cart!

Wyatt and Matt went golfing this afternoon.  I had to get a picture before they left.  Wyatt dressed himself...as you can see by his socks!  (And he was wearing his daddy's golf glove)  Love my boys!

August 17th

It was my turn for Mother's Day Out today.  We took a walk to the playground to run and get some crazy boy energy out.  Grace was the only girl today and wasn't having any of that running and sweating...it was "too hot."  So instead she drew on the sidewalk with some pink chalk in her big pink bow. :)

Looking through the hole in the garage

Funny boys!

When we got back from the playground, I read "If You Give A Pig A Pancake" and then we made some!

August 15th

So Wyatt needs a haircut...pretty bad.  But it does make for some fun time after bath time in front of the mirror.  He was pretending to be a Stegosaurus in this picture.  Afterwards, he shaped his bangs into a long horn and ran around saying he was a rhino.

August 13th

Some major super hero action going on at our house tonight.

August 12th

This is Wyatt listening to Scott during the children's sermon this morning.  Doesn't he look like an angel?  What I didn't get a picture of was Wyatt screaming afterwards and Matt picking him up and carrying him out.  Preacher's Kid syndrome.

Matt, Scott, Wyatt and I all drove a couple of miles out of Sonora to look for any remaining remnants of the Perseid meteor shower tonight.  We only got to see a couple of shooting stars...but we did get a great lightening show in the distance!

August 8th

Scott Gaskil, FBC Sonora's new youth minister and old friend of ours from Grand Prairie, arrived yesterday to start his new job here.  Matthew and I are SO excited he is here.  We love him and know the youth are going to love him too!  And to make it even better...Samantha will be here to join him this November after they get married.

The Sykes were nice enough to host a pool party for the youth to hang out and meet Scott and Sam tonight.  Everyone had a good time...but I think Wyatt was the happiest.  He found the red Koolaid fruit dip that Amy made.  Pretty sure he ate 99 percent of it by himself.

August 6th

Today was a great day for a Daddy and Wy to wash the cars!

He put his swim trunks on backwards :)

And then he decided he needed to wash his fire engine.

And afterwards, he assured me the water needed to be swept down the street.  He swept it all the way to the car you see in the picture.
