June 28th

Today was the annual Sutton County Days and Rodeo.  We entered Wyatt in the Mr. Sutton County contest.  I thought he would enjoy it since being social is "his thing."  Wyatt and I rode in the parade this morning and then headed to the parade grounds for the contest.  He did awesome.  I was SO proud of him.  He showed absolutely no stage fright.  He walked right up on stage and answered the questions.  But he didn't just answer the questions, he answered the questions and then some.  For his "talent" he told some jokes.  But he still wasn't finished (even though Jody said they were running out of time.)  He couldn't be finished without telling everyone the "true" story about when he and his dad talked to a talking tree.  Matthew and I couldn't stop laughing.  He was so excited when he saw that he had won the biggest trophy.  So it is now "official".  He is Little Mr. Sutton County 2013-2014.  He won a trophy and belt buckle.  His first responsibility was to award Ms. Sutton County with flowers at the rodeo, but unfortunately there was a mix up in communication and he didn't make it out on the truck with the "beautiful girls with the golden crowns" (as he called them).  So instead, he got to ride out with the cowboys to set the barrels out when it was time for barrel racing.
