It's Easter morning!! He is risen!! Or...in the words of a three year old...
The Easter bunny came before church. Not only did he bring some candy-filled Easter eggs...he also brought some Power Rangers and a bow-and-arrow. Awesome.
Wonderful Easter blessing: Watching three new Christians get baptised!!
Easter egg hunt with friends after church.
And, of course...the family Easter photos.
The beautiful Halsted family |
Then...it's time to get our Easter outfits all wet and dirty.
This was our first Easter away from family. So... it was a tasty home-cooked Easter lunch from Dairy Queen.
This is how Matthew and Wy spent the afternoon waiting for our friends to come over for dinner...remember the bow-and-arrow from the Easter Bunny??
Even though our lunch was not very "holiday-ish", we DID have a real home-made Easter dinner at our house with our other "family-less" friends. Barbecue chicken, green bean casserole, sweet potatoes, rolls, and cream cheese chocolate cupcakes. Yum!! After dinner, the kids played outside for a while.
Notice Wyatt's cool Power Rangers moves...
The end of our day...three very tired kiddos. And yes...my child is in his underwear..again.
It was a little hard not being near family this Easter, but God is good and has provided wonderful friends all around us here in Sonora. He is faithful and we are blessed!
