Wyatt was so excited to see the balloons at Ms. Kathy's house today!! He got to be the leader since his birthday is this week. We celebrated by letting him wear his "4" shirt...even though he wasn't really four years old yet. Love my sweet boy!!
A daily reflection of the simple blessings in my life....through pictures. I am not much of a writer....but I can snap a photo!

Here it is. The ornament Matt and I made 30 minutes before the young adult Christmas party started. We only used what we already had in the house. Scott and Samantha were the lucky couple that got to take it home. Be jealous! You know you want it!

MooMoo and I wrapped gifts this morning. Well, actually... I wrapped while he watched.
I did a Christmas photo shoot with Wyatt this afternoon for our "online" Christmas card this year. The only way I could get him to take some decent pictures for me was to let him take some pictures with his bat and ski goggles he had been carrying around for the past two days. Whatever it takes. Whatever it takes.

It was a night of Christmas fun tonight! Making a gingerbread house, baking and decorating cookies, and ending it with a Christmas movie (Arthur's Christmas) while snuggled up on the couch with hot cocoa. Wish every night could be like this!

Matthew, Wyatt and I enjoyed a nice dinner at "Cork and Pig" tonight in San Angelo before heading across the street to watch the Broncos play Colorado City. I think more than half of our town was in the stands. Broncos 42-21!

We woke up this morning to a crazy sight! Peter Pan had wrapped our tree with toilet paper! Peter Pan is the name Wyatt gave his elf. Peter Pan watches and listens to Wyatt's behavior during the day and flies back (hence the name) to the North Pole each night to report back to Santa. And let me just say...Wyatt's attitude has been much better since that elf showed up!
Wyatt had a great idea for the antlers he found in his closet....I immediately thought of poor Max from "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas." MooMoo must really love Wyatt.
December 2nd
Tonight was the annual "Hanging of the Green" service at church. Love it! The kids help decorate while we sing Christmas carols. We end the night lighting candles and singing "Silent Night" before heading over to the fellowship hall for some cookies and wassail. I had never even heard of "wassail" until moving to Sonora last year.
It was also the night I almost burned down the church. I didn't even realize I had put my arm over Wyatt's candle...but no worries. My good friend Corey stood up from the pew behind me and put out the fire that was my shirt. Somehow it did not burn a hold in my shirt...but I did smell like burnt popcorn for the rest of the night.
